RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR, HON. JERWIN S. DIMAPILIS, TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF ROXAS, ORIENTAL MINDORO, A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) WITH THE CLARENDON COLLEGE FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ITS ON-THE-JOB TRAINING (OJT) PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the Municipal Government of Roxas firmly believes in supporting educational development and nation-building by providing students with meaningful avenues for practical learning, skills enhancement, and exposure to public service operations;

WHEREAS, Clarendon College is an educational institution dedicated to equipping its students with relevant professional competencies through mandatory On-the-Job Training (OJT) or internship programs as part of its academic curriculum;

WHEREAS, Clarendon College has requested partnership with the Municipal Government of Roxas to place qualified student interns across various municipal departments and offices to undergo practical training and gain hands-on administrative and technical experience;

WHEREAS, entering into a formal institutional partnership ensures clear guidelines on the responsibilities, safety, insurance coverage, and supervision of the student trainees during the duration of their internship;

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 444 (b)(1)(vi) of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, the Municipal Mayor, as Chief Executive, shall represent the Municipality in all its business transactions and sign on its behalf all bonds, contracts, and obligations upon prior authorization by the Sangguniang Bayan;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Christopher Y. Carvajal duly seconded by Councilor David D. De La Cruz –

BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to authorize Hon. Jerwin S. Dimapilis, Municipal Mayor, to enter into and sign, for and in behalf of the Municipal Government of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Clarendon College for the implementation of its On-the-Job Training (OJT) / Internship Program.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Clarendon College, the Municipal Mayor, the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), and other offices concerned for their information, guidance, and appropriate action.
