RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE REQUEST OF HON. JERWIN S. DIMAPILIS, MUNICIPAL MAYOR, TO THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A ROAD CONNECTING SITIO DALAHICAN TO SITIO BAL-ONG, BARANGAY SAN JOSE, ROXAS, ORIENTAL MINDORO, AS A PRIORITY INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF ROXAS, WITH AN ESTIMATED PROJECT COST OF SEVENTY MILLION PESOS (₱70,000,000.00)

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, recognizes the importance of providing adequate and reliable road infrastructure to promote economic development, improve mobility, and enhance access to basic services, particularly in rural and agricultural communities;

WHEREAS, Hon. Jerwin S. Dimapilis, Municipal Mayor, in his letter dated September 30, 2026, requested the Sangguniang Bayan to endorse to the Department of Agriculture (DA) the proposed construction of a road connecting Sitio Dalahican to Sitio Bal-ong, Barangay San Jose, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, as a priority infrastructure project of the Municipal Government, with an estimated amount of Seventy Million Pesos (P70,000,000.00);

WHEREAS, the proposed road is intended to provide a more accessible and reliable route for residents and farmers of Sitio Dalahican and Sitio Bal-ong, particularly in transporting agricultural products, farm inputs, and other essential goods and services;

WHEREAS, the construction of the proposed road will contribute to the improvement of the agricultural sector by facilitating the efficient movement and marketing of agricultural products, reducing transportation difficulties and costs, and providing better access to markets and other economic opportunities;

WHEREAS, the proposed road will likewise improve the accessibility of residents to government services, health facilities, educational institutions, and other essential services, thereby contributing to the overall socio-economic development and welfare of the communities of Barangay San Jose;

WHEREAS, the implementation of the proposed infrastructure project will strengthen the Municipality's efforts toward rural development, agricultural productivity, improved connectivity, and inclusive economic growth;

NOW THEREFORE on motion of Councilor King Philip B. Dimapilis and on mass sponsorship -

RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to endorse, as it hereby endorses, the request of Hon. Jerwin S. Dimapilis, Municipal Mayor, to the Department of Agriculture (DA) for the construction of a road connecting Sitio Dalahican to Sitio Bal-ong, Barangay San Jose, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, as a priority infrastructure project of the Municipal Government of Roxas, with an estimated amount of Seventy Million Pesos (P70,000,000.00).

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Department of Agriculture, Office of the Municipal Mayor, Municipal Engineering Office, Municipal Agriculture Office, and other concerned offices and agencies for their information, consideration, and appropriate action.
