RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HON. JERWIN S. DIMAPILIS, MUNICIPAL MAYOR, TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN, FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF ROXAS, A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH THE CENTER FOR HEALTH DEVELOPMENT (CHD) MIMAROPA, DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMPLETION/UPGRADING OF THE ROXAS RURAL HEALTH UNIT, IN THE AMOUNT OF FIVE MILLION PESOS (P5,000,000.00)

WHEREAS, the Municipal Government of Roxas prioritizes the enhancement of healthcare delivery systems and facilities to ensure the provision of accessible, quality, and comprehensive health services to all its constituents;

WHEREAS, the Department of Health (DOH) through the Center for Health Development (CHD) MIMAROPA has allocated a financial grant amounting to Five Million Pesos (P5,000,000.00) under its Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP) for the Completion/Upgrading of the Roxas Rural Health Unit (RHU);

WHEREAS, the proposed completion/upgrading of the Roxas Rural Health Unit will enhance its facilities, improve the delivery of basic health services, and provide a more appropriate and conducive environment for patients, health workers, and other stakeholders;

WHEREAS, to facilitate the transfer and utilization of the said funds and ensure the seamless execution and completion of the project, it is necessary to execute a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Municipal Government of Roxas and CHD MIMAROPA;

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 22(c) of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, the Municipal Mayor may enter into contracts on behalf of the municipality, upon authority of the Sangguniang Bayan;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Christopher Y. Carvajal duly seconded by Councilor Marietta R. Pajila and Councilor David D. De La Cruz—

BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to authorize Hon. Jerwin S. Dimapilis, Municipal Mayor, to enter into and sign, for and in behalf of the Municipal Government of Roxas, the Memorandum of Agreement with the Center for Health Development (CHD) MIMAROPA for the implementation of the Completion/Upgrading of the Roxas Rural Health Unit in the amount of Five Million Pesos (P5,000,000.00).

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Office of the Municipal Mayor, the Center for Health Development (CHD) MIMAROPA, Department of Health, the Municipal Health Office, and other concerned offices for their information and appropriate action.
