RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HON. JERWIN S. DIMAPILIS, MUNICIPAL MAYOR, TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) WITH THE SAN RAFAEL GUIDES ASSOCIATION (SARCAGA) FOR A FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE GRANT OF FIFTY THOUSAND PESOS (P50,000.00) INTENDED FOR THE PRODUCTION AND CULTIVATION OF SUNFLOWERS AND OTHER HIGH-VALUE FLOWERS

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Local Government Unit of Roxas to promote sustainable economic development and improve the socio-economic well-being of its constituents through livelihood assistance and community-based income-generating projects;

WHEREAS, the San Rafael Guides Association (SARCAGA) is a duly organized and Sangguniang Bayan-accredited people's organization actively engaged in tourism-related activities and community development initiatives within Barangay San Rafael, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro;

WHEREAS, the Municipal Government of Roxas recognizes the importance of supporting community organizations through financial assistance and technical interventions to ensure the successful implementation of livelihood projects;

WHEREAS, a financial grant in the amount of Fifty Thousand Pesos (P50,000.00) shall be provided to SARCAGA, subject to existing accounting, auditing, and government regulations, for the implementation of the said project;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Christopher Y. Carvajal duly seconded by Councilor King Philip B. Dimapilis and Councilor Robert A. Baticos –

BE IT RESOLVED to authorize Hon. Jerwin S. Dimapilis, Municipal Mayor of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, to enter into and sign, for and on behalf of the Municipal Government of Roxas, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the San Rafael Guides Association (SARCAGA) for a financial assistance grant in the amount of Fifty Thousand Pesos (P50,000.00) intended for the production and cultivation of sunflowers and other high-value flowers.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Office of the Municipal Mayor, the Municipal Accountant, the Municipal Treasurer, the Municipal Budget Officer, SARCAGA, and other concerned offices for their information and appropriate action.
