RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HON. JERWIN S. DIMAPILIS, MUNICIPAL MAYOR, ON BEHALF OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF ROXAS, ORIENTAL MINDORO, TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN A DEED OF DONATION WITH THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF ORIENTAL MINDORO, REPRESENTED BY GOVERNOR HUMERLITO A. DOLOR, MPA, Ph.D., FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF TWO (2) GILTS AND PROCESSED SEMEN FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SWINE INDUSTRY RECOVERY AND REPOPULATION PROGRAM OF THE MUNICIPALITY

WHEREAS, the swine industry in the Province of Oriental Mindoro has faced significant challenges due to the threat of African Swine Fever (ASF), necessitating proactive recovery and repopulation efforts to ensure food security and sustain the livelihoods of local farmers;

WHEREAS, following the devastation of the hog industry by ASF, the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro has implemented recovery and repopulation programs focus on biosafety, vaccine rollout, financial aid, and the replacement of hogs to restart the industry and operation;

WHEREAS, the Province is now actively recovering from ASF, and key areas have moved from red to pink zones as of early 2026;

WHEREAS, the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro under the leadership of Governor Humerlito A. Dolor has extended assistance through the donation of two (2) gilts and processed semen to support the recovery and repopulation of the swine industry in the Municipality of Roxas;

WHEREAS, the formal transfer of ownership and responsibility over the said livestock and biological materials requires the execution of a Deed of Donation between the Provincial Government (Donor) and the Municipal Government (Donee);

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED...

BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to authorize Hon. Jerwin S. Dimapilis, Municipal Mayor, to enter into and sign a Deed of Donation with the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro, represented by Governor Humerlito A. Dolor, MPA, Ph.D., for the acceptance of two (2) gilts and processed semen for the implementation of the Swine Industry Recovery and Repopulation Program.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro, Office of the Municipal Mayor, the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO), and other concerned agencies for their information and guidance.
