RESOLUTION APPROVING THE LOCAL DISASTER RISK REDUCTION MANAGEMENT FUND INVESTMENT PLAN FY 2027 OF THE MUNICIPAL DISASTER RISK REDUCTION OFFICE, MUNICIPALITY OF ROXAS, ORIENTAL MINDORO.

WHEREAS, Section 21 of RA 10121 (Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010) states that not less than five percent (5%) of the estimated revenue from regular sources shall be set aside to support disaster risk reduction management activities such as, but not limited to, pre-disaster preparedness programs including training, purchasing live-saving rescue equipment, supplies and medicines, for post-disaster activities, and for the payment of premiums on calamity insurance;

WHEREAS, Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2013-1 dated March 28, 2013 issued by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, Department of Budget and Management and Department of the Interior and Local Government provides that the LDRRMF shall cover the thirty percent (30%) lump sum allocation for Quick Response Fund and the seventy percent (70%) allocation for disaster prevention and mitigation, preparedness, response, rehabilitation and recovery — which may also be utilized to procure early warning systems, preparedness equipment and other equipage for floods, earthquake, volcanic eruptions, landslide and other natural and man-made calamities;

WHEREAS, the Municipal Government of Roxas is at helm of taking initiatives for its own sustainable development and for implementing effective measures to reduce disaster risk including protection of its inhabitants, infrastructure and all other components from the impact of disasters and emergencies that may arise;

WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Bayan of Roxas unanimously agreed to approve the Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Fund Investment Plan FY 2027 of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Office.

NOW THEREFORE on motion of Councilor Marietta R. Pajila seconded by Councilor Robert A. Baticos -

BE IT RESOLVED to approve as it hereby approves the Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Fund Investment Plan FY 2027 of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Program of the Municipality of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro.

RESOVED FURTHER, to send copies of this resolution all municipal offices concerned of the municipal government of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro for their information and reference.
