RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE HIGHEST APPRECIATION AND PROFOUND GRATITUDE OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ROXAS, ORIENTAL MINDORO, TO THE MABUHAY DESERET FOUNDATION, ITS DISTINGUISHED MEDICAL TEAM, VOLUNTEERS, AND PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS FOR THEIR EXTRAORDINARY HUMANITARIAN SERVICE IN CONDUCTING THE FREE EYE SCREENING, CATARACT, AND PTERYGIUM SURGICAL MISSION FOR THE PEOPLE OF ROXAS

WHEREAS, the Municipal Government of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, is highly committed to safeguarding the health and well-being of its citizens, particularly by providing access to vital medical services for the marginalized and underserved sectors of the community;

WHEREAS, the Mabuhay Deseret Foundation, together with its distinguished medical team, dedicated volunteers, and partner organizations, conducted a Free Eye Screening, Cataract, and Pterygium Surgical Mission for the residents of the Municipality of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, providing life-changing medical services to individuals who otherwise would have limited access to specialized eye care;

WHEREAS, through this humanitarian mission, a total of 308 individuals received comprehensive eye screening and eyeglasses, while 118 patients successfully underwent sight-restoring surgical procedures, consisting of:

• 58 patients who underwent Pterygium Surgery;
• 60 patients who underwent Cataract Surgery;

thereby significantly improving their vision, restoring their independence, and enhancing their quality of life;

WHEREAS, the success of this medical mission reflects the noble spirit of volunteerism, compassion, social responsibility, and collaboration, serving as an inspiration to organizations and individuals committed to improving the lives of others through meaningful public service;

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Roxas recognizes the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to bringing quality healthcare to underserved communities and acknowledges that this noble undertaking exemplifies compassion, volunteerism, excellence, and genuine public service;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Lucille T. Bacay and on mass sponsorship –

BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to express its highest appreciation and profound gratitude to the Mabuhay Deseret Foundation, its distinguished medical team, volunteers, and partner organizations for their extraordinary humanitarian service in successfully conducting the Free Eye Screening, Cataract, and Pterygium Surgical Mission for the people of Roxas.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Sangguniang Bayan highly commends the officers of the Mabuhay Deseret Foundation and its volunteer ophthalmologists for their invaluable contribution in restoring the gift of sight, promoting public health, and bringing hope to hundreds of residents through their selfless dedication and compassionate service.

RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Mabuhay Deseret Foundation, its officers, the distinguished medical team, partner organizations, and all concerned as a lasting expression of the Municipality's highest appreciation, profound gratitude, and recognition for their outstanding humanitarian service.
