RESOLUTION EARNESTLY REQUESTING AND AUTHORIZING HON. BENCHIE B. GONZALES, REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD) FIELD OFFICE MIMAROPA, TO FACILITATE THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS TO THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF ROXAS, ORIENTAL MINDORO FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS IN CRISIS SITUATION (AICS) PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), pursuant to Executive Order (EO) No. 221 series of 2003 and EO No. 137 series of 2021, implements crisis intervention, through the Assistance to Individuals and Families in Crisis Situation (AICS) program;

WHEREAS, the DSWD issued Memorandum Circular (M.C.) No. 16 series of 2022 entitled “REVISED GUIDELINES FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS IN CRISIS SITUATION (AICS)” which provides for the different modes of disbursement strategies, such as transfer of funds to local government units;

WHEREAS, the effective implementation of the AICS Program at the local level necessitates the timely transfer of funds from the DSWD Field Office MIMAROPA to the Municipal Government of Roxas;

WHEREAS, the Municipal Government of Roxas is fully capable and prepared to implement said program in accordance with existing government accounting and auditing rules and regulations;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED...

BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to earnestly request and authorize Hon. Benchie B. Gonzales, Regional Director of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office MIMAROPA, to facilitate the transfer of funds to the Municipal Government of Roxas for the implementation of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) Program;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that upon receipt of the funds, the Municipal Government shall ensure that the same shall be utilized strictly in accordance with existing laws, rules, and regulations governing the AICS Program;

RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office MIMAROPA, Office of the Municipal Mayor and other concerned offices for their information and appropriate action.
