RESOLUTION APPROVING AND GRANTING THE ACCREDITATION OF SAMAHANG MAGSASAKA NG BARANGAY UYAO IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ROXAS, ORIENTAL MINDORO.

WHEREAS, Section 34 of the Local Government Code of 1991 (Book 1, Chapter 4) states that the local government units shall promote the establishment and operation of people’s and non-governmental organizations to become active partners in the pursuit of local autonomy;

WHEREAS, on June 23, 2025, the Department of the Interior and Local Government issued Memorandum Circular No. 2025-60, on the Guidelines on the Accreditation of Civil Society Organizations and Selection of Representatives to the Local Special Bodies;

WHEREAS, the Samahang Magsasaka ng Barangay Uyao through its President, has signified its intention to be an accredited CSO in the Municipality of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro to pursue an active partnership with the Local Government Unit in the pursuit of local autonomy and nation building;

WHEREAS, the Samahang Magsasaka ng Barangay Uyao has satisfactorily complied with the requirements and criteria for accreditation as a civil society organization in accordance with the procedures and guidelines set forth in DILG Memorandum Circular 2025-60;

WEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Robert A. Baticos duly seconded by Councilor Michael O. Pongyan, be it;

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Bayan to approve and grant the accreditation of Samahang Magsasaka ng Barangay Uyao in the Municipality of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that this accreditation is effective only until June 30, 2028;

RESOLVED FURTHERMORE, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Honorable Mayor Jerwin S. Dimapilis, Mr. Joseph M. Galicia, President, Samahang Magsasaka ng Barangay Uyao and the Municipal Legal Officer for information and guidance.

ADOPTED this 19th day of October 2026 at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipality of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro.
