RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR, HON. JERWIN S. DIMAPILIS, TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF ROXAS, ORIENTAL MINDORO, A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) WITH THE CLARENDON COLLEGE FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STUDENT WORK IMMERSION PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the Municipal Government of Roxas firmly believes in supporting educational development and nation-building by providing students with meaningful avenues for practical learning, skills enhancement, and exposure to public service operations;

WHEREAS, Clarendon College, as an educational institution, seeks to provide its qualified students with meaningful workplace exposure through the implementation of the Student Work Immersion Program, in accordance with the applicable curriculum and relevant guidelines of the Department of Education;

WHEREAS, the Student Work Immersion Program aims to bridge classroom learning and actual workplace experience by allowing students to apply their academic knowledge, enhance their technical and interpersonal skills, develop professionalism, and gain a better understanding of the working environment;

WHEREAS, the proposed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) shall define the respective roles, responsibilities, obligations, and undertakings of the Municipal Government of Roxas and Clarendon College in the implementation of the Student Work Immersion Program, including the supervision, guidance, and monitoring of student participants, subject to applicable laws, rules, regulations, and institutional policies;

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 444 (b)(1)(vi) of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, the Municipal Mayor, as Chief Executive, shall represent the Municipality in all its business transactions and sign on its behalf all bonds, contracts, and obligations upon prior authorization by the Sangguniang Bayan;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Christopher Y. Carvajal duly seconded by Councilor Gualberto V. Magno –

BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to authorize Hon. Jerwin S. Dimapilis, Municipal Mayor, to enter into and sign, for and in behalf of the Municipal Government of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Clarendon College for the implementation of the Student Work Immersion Program.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Clarendon College, the Municipal Mayor, the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), and other offices concerned for their information, guidance, and appropriate action.
