RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HON. JERWIN S. DIMAPILIS, MUNICIPAL MAYOR OF ROXAS, ORIENTAL MINDORO, TO SIGN AND EXECUTE A DEED OF ABSOLUTE SALE WITH MS. MARIA CRISTINA C. ANDRADE FOR THE ACQUISITION OF A 273-SQUARE-METER PARCEL OF LAND SITUATED AT BARANGAY SAN RAFAEL, ROXAS, ORIENTAL MINDORO, COVERED BY ORIGINAL CERTIFICATE OF TITLE NO. 064-2023000108, TO BE UTILIZED AS THE SITE FOR THE BARANGAY SAN RAFAEL MULTIPURPOSE BUILDING

WHEREAS, the Municipal Government of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, recognizes the need to acquire a suitable parcel of land for the establishment and construction of a Multipurpose Building in Barangay San Rafael, which shall serve as a venue for various barangay activities, programs, meetings, and other community-oriented undertakings;

WHEREAS, Ms. Maria Cristina C. Andrade is the registered owner of a parcel of land with an area of Two Hundred Seventy-Three (273) square meters, situated at Barangay San Rafael, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, covered by Original Certificate of Title No. 064-2023000108;

WHEREAS, the acquisition of the subject property is deemed necessary and beneficial to the Municipality of Roxas and the residents of Barangay San Rafael, as the same will provide an appropriate and accessible site for the Barangay Multipurpose Building;

WHEREAS, the Municipal Government of Roxas has determined that the acquisition of the subject property through a Deed of Absolute Sale is necessary to facilitate the transfer of ownership thereof in favor of the Municipal Government of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro;

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 22(c) of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, the Municipal Mayor, as the chief executive of the municipality, shall represent the municipality in all its business transactions and sign in its behalf all bonds, contracts, obligations, and such other documents upon authority of the Sangguniang Bayan;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Christopher Y. Carvajal duly seconded by Councilor King Philip B. Dimapilis –

BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to authorize Hon. Jerwin S. Dimapilis, Municipal Mayor of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, to sign and execute a Deed of Absolute Sale with Ms. Maria Cristina C. Andrade for the acquisition of a Two Hundred Seventy-Three (273)-square-meter parcel of land situated at Barangay San Rafael, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, covered by Original Certificate of Title No. 064-2023000108, to be utilized as the site for the Barangay San Rafael Multipurpose Building.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be forwarded to the Honorable Jerwin S. Dimapilis, Municipal Mayor, Ms. Maria Cristina C. Andrade, the Barangay Council of San Rafael, and all other offices concerned for their information and guidance.
