RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR, HON. JERWIN S. DIMAPILIS, TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN, FOR AND IN BEHALF OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF ROXAS, ORIENTAL MINDORO, A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT (DOLE) FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE DOLE INTEGRATED LIVELIHOOD PROGRAM (DILP) AMOUNTING TO TWO MILLION ONE HUNDRED FIFTEEN THOUSAND PESOS (₱2,115,000.00)

WHEREAS, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) implements the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) to provide capacity-building on entrepreneurship and support the creation of community-based enterprise projects for working poor, vulnerable, and marginalized workers;

WHEREAS, the Municipal Government of Roxas prioritizes sustainable economic development, poverty reduction, and job creation by partnering with national government agencies to secure grant funds for local associations and micro-entrepreneurs;

WHEREAS, DOLE has approved financial assistance amounting to Two Million One Hundred Fifteen Thousand Pesos (₱2,115,000.00) under the DILP for identified eligible beneficiaries within the Municipality of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro;

WHEREAS, to establish the roles, responsibilities, and financial management framework between the DOLE Regional Office / Provincial Field Office and the Municipal Government of Roxas as the Accredited Co-Partner (ACP), the execution of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) is necessary;

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 444 (b)(1)(vi) of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, the Municipal Mayor, as Chief Executive, shall represent the Municipality in all its business transactions and sign on its behalf all bonds, contracts, and obligations upon prior authorization by the Sangguniang Bayan;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Christopher Y. Carvajal duly seconded by Councilor Marietta R. Pajila and Councilor David D. De La Cruz –

BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to authorize Hon. Jerwin S. Dimapilis, Municipal Mayor, to enter into and sign, for and in behalf of the Municipal Government of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for the implementation of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) amounting to Two Million One Hundred Fifteen Thousand Pesos (₱2,115,000.00).

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) MIMAROPA/Oriental Mindoro Field Office, the Municipal Mayor, the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager, and other offices concerned for their information, guidance, and appropriate action.
