RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MUNICIPAL MAYOR JERWIN S. DIMAPILIS TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) WITH DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT (DSWD) REPRESENTED BY ITS REGIONAL DIRECTOR, BENCHIE B. GONZALES FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PAYAPA AT MASAGANANG PAMAYANAN (PAMANA) SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOOD PROGRAM (SLP) IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ROXAS, ORIENTAL MINDORO

WHEREAS, the Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA) is the Philippine Government’s framework for peace and development, aimed at strengthening local resilience and improving socio-economic conditions in conflict-affected and vulnerable areas;

WHEREAS, the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) serves as a key component of the PAMANA framework by providing capacity-building and livelihood interventions to marginalized households;

WHEREAS, the Municipality of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro, is a recipient of the PAMANA-SLP, which intends to empower local communities through the provision of sustainable livelihood opportunities, thereby fostering long-term peace and stability;

WHEREAS, Section 444 (b)(1)(vi) of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, provides that the Municipal Mayor shall represent the municipality in all its business transactions and sign on its behalf all bonds, contracts, and obligations, and such other documents upon authority of the Sangguniang Bayan or pursuant to law or ordinance;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED...

BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to authorize Hon. Jerwin S. Dimapilis, Municipal Mayor, to enter into and sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the DSWD Field Office MIMAROPA, represented by Regional Director, Benchie B. Gonzales, for the implementation of the Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA) Sustainable Livelihood Program in the Municipality of Roxas, Oriental Mindoro.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to the Regional Director Benchie B. Gonzales of DSWD Field Office MIMAROPA, Office of the Municipal Mayor, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), and all other concerned agencies for their information and appropriate action.
